The City of North Liberty, Iowa's residents will benefit from the park. North Liberty is home to many young families. Park and open space are attractive features. Visitors to North Liberty will use the park, too. |
| Why your project deserves the funds: |
It's cool! North Liberty is one of the fastest growing communities in Iowa. Centennial Park will serve as the hub for social activities in our community. North Liberty Blues and BBQ, the premier festival in the area, featuring local food vendors, local musicians, and local brews has a large regional draw with an estimated 10,000 attending this year in an event cut short by rain.
Planned improvements include a stage with an attached four seasons shelter that can be used as a green room during events and rented separately for other community events. Parking, street, and trail systems are planned. Other planned amenities include shelters, a splash pad, play equipment, a Veteran's Memorial and other cool features. |

The project is incremental. The next phase is starting in the Spring of 2015, but will take several years to complete the multifunction and multi amenity facility. |
