The purpose of this project at the North Iowa Community School District in Buffalo Center is to provide playground equipment that is age appropriate and safe for daycare and preschool age children. The existing playground equipment is not rated age appropriate for the daycare and preschool children, so at their recess or outside time they see the older kids playing on equipment while they have nothing to play on. The equipment is not rated as age appropriate for children in preschool or daycare and due to liability reasons they are not allowed to play on it. This is an extreme injustice. Our goal is to purchase age appropriate playground equipment that will allow the younger children to receive the equipment nessesary to truly enjoy their recess in a safe and healthy environment. |
